Location is not  available on Win 7 Starters
Have you attempted a Clean Boot? I imagine, with Windows 7 Starter, this shouldn't have too much impact on the programs, and should be fairly easy to pinpoint what is causing the problem when you get to 'step 2' in this link. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 NuAngelhttp://NuAngel.net

Hey there, I'm getting a 'Location is not available' error with the following message on Windows 7 Starters: C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible. Access is denied. I'm logged in as an Administrator and it seems to be affecting all of my accounts. I've seen many forums regarding this issue on Vista (some on other OS incl. W7) and most of them propose to change the properties of the user through the Control Panel but with my issue I cannot even open the Control Panel. I also came across solutions to update the user account by right-clicking on the C:\Users\(You)\Desktop folder but i'm getting an explorer error. The explorer.exe is also giving a system error and I'm unable to use/open any windows. Can anyone help? I'm guessing my final option is to reformat my drive and re-install my OS but i have too many programs installed and important files saved on my drive and no option to back them up first. Thank you.
